GENETIC SCREENING SUCCESS STORY: THE KOOYMAN FAMILY

KSL recently featured a story about the Kooyman family, who lost a son previously but had healthy twins with the help of Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis and the Utah Fertility Center. This is a modern fertility procedures that screens out eggs with genetic or chromosomal abnormalities as part of the IVF procedure.

“This technology is phenomenal in helping patients avoid that tragedy and have parents avoid that loss,” Dr. Foulk told KSL reporters.
