Dr. Foulk has a passion for helping couples to overcome infertility. Despite being an internationally recognized expert on infertility, he takes great pride in developing personal relationships with each of his patients. He firmly believes that one of the greatest joys in life is helping a couple to find hope and eventually overcome the devastating disease of infertility.

Shawn E. Gurtcheff, MD, MS

Medical Director
Dr. Gurtcheff grew up moving from state to state as her father followed his passion of flying airplanes for the U.S. Air Force. She is very proud to now call Utah home, and having been here a total of 13 years, she has lived here far longer than anywhere else. She completed both her post-doctoral residency and fellowship training, and she received her Master’s Degree from the University of Utah. She had the very special opportunity to practice general obstetrics and gynecology for several years prior to sub-specializing in fertility. While she does certainly miss the excitement of Labor and Delivery, Dr. Gurtcheff so highly values family that she loves focusing on helping others build theirs. She feels it is a great honor to share this amazingly wonderful and difficult journey, and she strives to provide comprehensive and personalized care to all of her patients. She is dedicated to individualizing treatment plans for her patients, and to supporting them emotionally through the process.

Deirdre A. Conway, MD

Practice Director
Dr. Conway’s passion for reproductive endocrinology stems from the rapidly evolving and cutting-edge nature of the field. She won numerous research and teaching awards during her training, and she enjoys educating patients throughout the course of their workup and treatment for infertility. Her particular areas of interest include fertility preservation, polycystic ovary syndrome, and premature ovarian insufficiency. The most rewarding part of her day, however, is giving every patient the highest chance of success to realize the dream of parenthood. When she is not seeing patients, you will likely find her skiing, hiking, or spending time with her husband and three kids.

Jessie A. Dorais, MD

Dr. Dorais first came to Utah from North Dakota to run track and cross country for BYU, where she instantly fell in love with the warmer winters and wonderfully kind people who made her feel at home. After graduating as the valedictorian of her medical school class, she returned to Utah to complete her OB/GYN residency and REI fellowship at the University of Utah, where she stayed on as faculty in the REI division for three years. She passionately loves the field of reproductive medicine and her patients. She feels tremendous gratitude to be able to participate in helping her patients build families and overcome infertility. She is known for her compassionate care, and she makes every effort to include her patients in treatment and evaluation decisions.

C. Matthew Peterson, MD

Dr. C. Matthew Peterson, MD is excited to assist the Utah Fertility Center improve access to advanced reproductive technologies in the intermountain west.  He will assist in reducing waiting times by assessing new patients and facilitating care pathways. He brings 34 years of experience in all facets of care and is recognized for treating patients as family. In 2019 the Utah Business Magazine, recognized him as a Utah Healthcare Hero. Originally from Iowa, he graduated from Brigham Young University and the University of Utah School of Medicine. His residency in obstetrics and gynecology and fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility were completed at Creighton-Maricopa Medical Center and the University of Miami, respectively. He is the father of five and enjoys water and snow skiing and other outdoor activities with his wife and their eleven grandchildren.

Yetunde Ibrahim, MD

Dr. Yetunde Ibrahim was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria in West Africa before relocating to the United States for a University education. After graduating as class valedictorian at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, she completed her medical degree from Duke University, School of Medicine in North Carolina. After serving her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School in Massachusetts, she completed her fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility from the University of Utah, School of Medicine.

Dr. Ibrahim is passionate about the rapidly evolving field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She has special clinical interests in assisted reproductive technology, fertility preservation and advanced hysteroscopy. Her philosophy of practice is patient-centric and enhancing the patient experience while they undergo their individualized journey towards parenthood. Dr. Ibrahim joins the Utah fertility center after practicing at University of Texas in San Antonio as faculty in the REI division for 3 years.

Susie S. Sollis, BSN, RN, MS, FNP-C

Susie is a family practitioner that has a true desire for helping those struggling with infertility. Susie graduated from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse for 8 years. Her own struggles with infertility inspired her to further her education and pursue a Master of Science degree in nursing at Brigham Young University.

Susie enjoys being able to help her patients in hopes of them fulfilling their dreams of becoming parents. Susie performs many of the diagnostic tests helping to determine causes of infertility. She works with patients undergoing fertility treatments, including timed intercourse, IUI, IVF, and frozen embryo transfers. She does the screening for gestational carriers, intended parents, and egg or embryo donors/recipients. Susie is also one of our study coordinators.

Anne-Marie Martin Lloyd, BSN, RN, MSN, WHNP

Anne-Marie is a women’s health nurse practitioner who has truly loved working in the reproductive medicine field. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and from University of Utah with a Master of Science in Nursing.  In May of 2022 she added a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) to her resume and has a passion for genetics. Anne-Marie works primarily in our St. George location.

Anne-Marie has 4 beautiful children.  Her kids keep her busy but bring her so much joy.  She enjoys face painting, tennis and skiing.  She has enjoyed living in St. George and really enjoys Fall, Winter, and Spring (not so much Summer).  During graduate school, Anne-Marie realized her ambition towards Reproductive Medicine. “It’s been an incredibly fulfilling and rewarding career for me and an honor to work with such brave patients.

Mandy Johnson, MSN, WHNP-BC

Mandy is a women’s health nurse practitioner. She graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 1999. After working as a registered nurse in orthopedics and women’s heath, she returned to academia to pursue a Master of Science degree in nursing. Mandy specialized in women’s health and graduated from the University of Utah in 2004.

Mandy provides care for our patients undergoing IVF, FET, Non-ART, ovum donor and gestational carrier cycles. She also performs diagnostic testing to help determine causes of infertility. Mandy joined the Utah Fertility Center team with prior reproductive medicine and OB/GYN experience as a women’s health nurse practitioner.

Nichole Nelson, BSN, RN, MS, FNP-C

Nichole is a family nurse practitioner that found a love and true passion for women’s health throughout her education journey. She graduated from Utah Valley University with her Bachelor’s degree in nursing. While achieving her degree to be a nurse practitioner, from the University of Cincinnati, she worked in the NICU, postpartum and pediatric units as a registered nurse for over 5 years.

Nichole, along with Susie at the PG office, performs many of the diagnostic tests helping to determine causes of infertility. She works with patients undergoing fertility treatments, including timed intercourse, IUI, IVF, and frozen embryo transfers. She does the screening for gestational carriers, intended parents, and egg or embryo donors/recipients.

Nichole loves spending time outdoors, including hunting with her dog Camo, camping, and riding UTV’s whenever she has free time.

She hopes to be the best advocate for her patients as they go through infertility treatments.

Kristi Rodgerson, BSN, RN, MS, FNP-C

Kristi is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has worked in Women’s Health for several years. Before graduating from Frontier Nursing University with her Master’s Degree, she worked as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery, as well as Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Kristi cares for our patients undergoing IVF, FET, timed intercourse, IUI, ovum donor and gestational carrier cycles. She also performs diagnostic testing to help determine causes of infertility. Being a part of UFC’s team is one of her passions – she loves helping others fulfill their dreams of parenthood.

Kristi enjoys spending time with her family, running, being outdoors, and going on adventures with her husband & daughters.

Sarah Nelson, MSN, WHNP-BC

Sarah is a women’s health nurse practitioner. She graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked as a registered nurse for over four years in various areas including postpartum/newborn nursery, NICU, pediatrics, and labor and delivery. Sarah obtained a Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University in North Carolina, where she double majored in women’s health and endocrinology. She is currently board certified as a nurse practitioner in women’s health.

Sarah provides care for patients going through fertility treatments in both our Ogden and Murray locations. She performs all initial screenings and chart reviews for our gestational carriers, and assists with screening for intended parents, ovum donors, and sperm donors. Sarah also sees patients going through timed intercourse, IUI, IVF and FET cycles and performs diagnostic procedures.
