Russell A. Foulk, M.D.
Dr. Foulk has a passion for helping couples to overcome infertility. Despite being an internationally recognized expert on infertility, he takes great pride in developing personal relationships with each of his patients. He firmly believes that one of the greatest joys in life is helping a couple to find hope and eventually overcome the devastating disease of infertility.

Shawn E. Gurtcheff, M.D., M.S.
Dr. Shawn Elizabeth Gurtcheff comes to the Utah Fertility Center from a thriving infertility practice at Seattle Reproductive Medicine in Seattle, Washington. She is thrilled to return to Utah, where she completed her subspecialty fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. While at the University of Utah, she also earned a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Investigation.

Deirdre Conway, M.D.
Dr. Conway graduated from Penn State University and went on to earn her MD from the University of Pittsburgh in 2003. While a resident at New York University, she won numerous teaching awards including the Berlex Foundation Resident Teaching Award. She completed a three-year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and infertility at UCLA Medical Center, and is board certified in both obstetrics & gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She continues to enjoy teaching as a clinical instructor at the University of California, San Diego.

Anne-Marie Martin Lloyd, BSN, RN, MSN, WHNP
Anne-Marie is a women’s health nurse practitioner and a coordinator for our patients undergoing IVF cycles, Non-ART cycles, ovum donor cycles, and gestational carrier cycles. Anne-Marie graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor of science in nursing. After working as a registered nurse in a newborn intensive care unit in Salt Lake City, she returned to academia to pursue a master of science in nursing. Anne-Marie specialized in women’s health and graduated from the University of Utah in 2004. She joined the Utah Fertility Center team in 2005 with prior reproductive medicine experience. As a nurse practitioner, Anne-Marie offers preventative healthcare for women and coordinates and provides care to all patients utilizing assisted reproductive technology. |

Mandy Johnson, WHNP, MSN
Mandy Johnson, MSN, WHNP, is a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and joined Utah Fertility Center in 2010. Prior to joining Utah FertilityCenter, Mandy practiced in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Riverton, Utah. Mandy graduated as a Registered Nurse from Weber State University in 1999, and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2001. After working in orthopedics and women's health she returned to academia to pursue a master of Science in Nursing. Mandy specialized in Women's Health and graduated from the University of Utah in 2004 as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. As a nurse practitioner, Mandy offers preventative healthcare for women and coordinated and provides care to patients utilizing assisted reproductive technology. |

Brooke Welsh, MSN, WHNP
Brooke is a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and joined the Utah Fertility Center in 2011. Brooke graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho with a bachelor of science in nursing. After working as a registered nurse on a labor and delivery unit in Provo, she returned to academia to pursue a master of science in nursing. Brooke specialized in Women's Health and graduated from the University of Utah in 2011 as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. As a WHNP, Brooke offers preventative healthcare for women and coordinates and provides care to all patients utilizing assisted reproductive technology. |

Marray Chase, Medical Assistant
Marray joined UFC in July of 2010 as our full-time CMA. Marray graduated Magna Cum Laude in the Certified Medical Assisting Program from Broadview University and is a member of the AAMA. She assists the physicians in all of their procedures and coordination, and is also the coordinator of all non-ART patients. Marray also assists with egg retrievals, embryo transfers, phlebotomy, patient education, shot class instruction, and optimizing patient care. She is very dedicated to her patients and their well-being, and has the ultimate goal of being able to help patients experience the same joy that Marray has with her own family. |

Tonya Canaday, IVF Coordinator
Tonya came to UFC in 2011 from the Idaho Center for Reproductive Medicine in Boise. She serves as UFC's IVF coordinator. Tonya has a very diverse background of career experiences, including performing phlebotomy and andrology laboratory duties. Tonya loves being able to help our patients along their journey to parenthood and is a constant ray of sunshine in our office! |

Kassidee, Medical Assistant
Kassidee joined Utah Fertility Center in January 2012. Kassidee came to work for UFC after being a Medical Assistant in a Family Medicine Practice for 4 years. She graduated from Mountain Land Applied Technology College in 2006 with a Medical Assistant Certification. Kassidee assists the physicians in the clinic with all types of procedures including egg retrievals, embryo transfers, phlebotomy, patient education, shot class instruction, and optimizing patient care. Her main focus is being Dr. Shawn Gurtcheff’s MA but loves working with everyone in the office. Her main goal is to provide the best level of comfort and possible care for the patients of UFC. Kassidee grew up here in Utah and is married with a beautiful little girl. |

Casey Stumph, LPN
Casey joined the Utah Fertility Center in August of 2012. She is a recent transplant to the great state of Utah from Idaho, where she worked as an LPN for an Urgent Care and Skin Care facility. Casey graduated from Eastern Idaho Technical College in 2010 from the Practical Nursing program. She has come to work for us in our new satellite office in Murray. She will be primarily helping Dr. Gurtcheff and Dr. Conway, but loves working with all of the providers. Her main objective is to provide excellent assistance to the providers and to ensure the care for our patients is always top notch. Casey’s free time is spent with her husband and their four kids. |

Ruth Hunt, Administrative Assistant, MA
Ruth joined UFC after her graduation Magna Cum Laude from Broadview University as a Medical Assistant in March of 2012. She is a member of the AAMA. With her multiple skills, she is assisting with the clinical responsibilities as well as the front office. She assists the Doctors and Nurse Practitioners and the patients seen by them including patient education and shot class instruction. Her goal is assisting others to reach their dream of a wonderful family. |

Christine Briton-Jones, PhD, HCLD, Lab Director
Trained in Australia and worked in combined research and clinical positions in Australia, Hong Kong and in California before joining Utah Fertility Center in Pleasant Grove. Dr. Briton-Jones has been working in clinical embryology for more than 20 years and has participated in refining and developing the laboratory techniques that have contributed to the growing success of assisted reproductive technologies with more than 90 peer reviewed scientific manuscripts and abstracts published in international journals. Christine is a frequent presenter at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine annual conference, the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society annual meeting and has been an invited speaker at international fertility conferences in Vienna, Scotland, England, Canada, Australia, mainland China and in Hong Kong. She is a current member of the Editorial Board of Reproductive Biology and Endocrinology Journal (RBEJ) and is an ad hoc reviewer for: Journal of Reproductive Biology and Endocrinology, Reproductive Biology and Endocrinology Journal Online, Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics, Theriogenology Journal, Human Reproduction and Molecular Human Reproduction. Christine is a member in good standing of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and The Pacific Coast Reproductive Society. Her current research interests include stress and infertility, fertility preservation and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Dr. Briton-Jones is thrilled to have moved to Utah and to be living close to her extended family who are longtime residents of the Utah Valley. | |

Abby Padovich, Phlebotomist
Abby is our phlebotomist. She joined the UFC team in Jan. of 2012. Abby has been a phlebotomist for 9 years. She also is a certified EMT and basic fire fighter. She will be graduating from UVU soon with a bachelors degree in emergency service administrations.
Abby enjoys talking to patients to help put them at ease while having their blood drawn. She is great at drawing blood and starting IV's. | |

Patrick Davis, Embryologist
Patrick received his degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1990 and continued his studies at the university doing research in early mammalian development for over twenty years. He co-authored several research papers on topics such as contributions of the mitochondria in oocyte growth, oocyte freezing and aneuploidy, and embryo fragmentation and potential consequences for normal development. In 1999 Patrick was offered a clinical embryology position at a fertility clinic in Denver which allowed him to transition into the field of IVF. He is proficient in all techniques necessary for clinical IVF including retrievals, micromanipulation, transfers and vitrification. Patrick joined our team at UFC in early 2012 and he has been a welcomed and integral part of our team. |

Ammon Bayles, PhD, Embryologist
Dr. Bayles is an embryologist at the Utah Fertility Center and joined the staff in 2012. He is proficient in the techniques necessary for clinical assisted reproductive technologies and spends time working in the Endocrinology, Andrology, and Embryology labs. He is eager to continue his post graduate education by attending yearly courses to advance his knowledge on the latest developments and techniques involving human reproductive medicine. He earned his PhD with a specialty in Reproductive Physiology from Utah State University, where he studied the early signal transduction events of fertilization in cattle. While at USU he worked in the somatic cell nuclear transfer lab performing IVF and producing cloned cattle, sheep, goats, and horses. During his graduate studies he instructed a senior level physiology of reproduction course for two years. He has been a guest lecturer for several courses covering topics of reproductive management, reproductive physiology, and somatic cell nuclear transfer. He has attended three national scientific meetings and presented posters at all of them. In 2010 he was awarded the College of Agriculture Graduate Instructor of the Year. Over the past 8 years he worked with Hoffman A.I. Breeders, a custom bull stud, where he collected, analyzed, and cryopreserved bull and stallion semen. During this time he also traveled throughout Utah and Idaho performing artificial insemination on thousands of cattle. Dr. Bayles is passionate about the field of reproductive biology and looks forward to the many experiences and challenges of assisting patients achieve their desires of expanding their family. |

Diane Fletcher, Clinic Liaison
Diane joined UFC in January of 2011. She grew up in Payson, attended Utah State University, and graduated from Weber State University with a bachelor's degree. Diane is excited to be a part of the world class team here at UFC! She is proud to represent UFC's excellent patient care and advances reproductive treatment options to our community, local physicians and providers, and to each individual struggling with infertility. Diane also assists our IVF patients who are traveling to UFC for their treatment. She has a personal understanding of our IVF patients, as she herself has experienced the disappointments along with the elations and tremendous gratitude. Diane loves spending time with her family of 5 boys - including her husband. She enjoys camping and boating, playing tennis, reading, listening to the imaginative stories and thoughts of her children, and obsessively pulling weeds (also known as gardening). |

Mindy Fierros, Patient Services
Mindy is part of UFC's office team. She joined the Utah Fertility Center in June of 2011. Mindy plays an integral role for the office, completing insurance verifications. Mindy is a collector of any items that pertain to a chef, as her kitchen attests. She is happily married and keeps busy with her three children. |

April Larman, Patient Services
April joined UFC in June 2012. She graduated from Broadview University with a billing and coding degree. She has several years of prior experience working in patient services and billing in the medical field. She is also a cosmetologist and acquired her license in 2007. April loves doing hair in her home. It is her first time working at a fertility center and is excited to be a part of a team that helps families grow. |

Kathryn S. Morison, Patient Services
Kat recently began her career with Utah Fertility Center in Aug of 2012, and is stationed at our Murray location. She obtained her CNA and has since worked in the medical industry for 10 years. Her experience originates from serving a variety of patients in specialized healthcare facilities, where she was also cross-trained as a Health Unit Coordinator and served as secretary for one year on the Employee Council at PCMC. Kat has further obtained clerical management experience during a Paralegal program while working as a Legal Assistant for an Intellectual Property law firm, and then as Patient Relations Coordinator in a dental office. She is continuing her education in Business beginning fall of 2012. She thoroughly enjoys working with her patients, the fertility process and is excited to continue on with UFC in the future. |

Dawn Robinson, Front Office Manager
Dawn joined Utah Fertility Center in March of 2012. She brings over six years of medical office management experience with her and is excited to join the team at UFC. Dawn keeps our front office running smoothly and efficiently. Dawn received her degree from Riverside Community College in California. She lives in Utah County with her husband and two great kids! |

Genie Andrews, Administrator
Genie came to UFC in 2011 with over 25 years of medical management and financial counseling experience in OB/GYN, family practice, internal medicine and pediatrics. The most enjoyable part of her career has been the last 10+ years working in the reproductive field. If you have any questions regarding the financial part of your fertility treatments, Genie will be happy to discuss your options with you. Genie attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO. She is a past member of ACPC’s and IMGMA, a current member of ASRM and ARM and a sustaining member of AJL. |
